    In Algeria the credit cards visa, Mastercard, Eurocard and express American are accepted
    CURRENCY

    The Algerian Dinar (DA) is the official currency of Algeria. It is counseled to have some small cuts in Euro or in American Dollar. It is possible to change currencies in the financial establishments; most foreign currency can be changed in the banks, in change offices and in harbors and airports.

    TAXES
    A tax fiscal variable VAT of 5 to 17% is appropriated on most possessions and services in Algeria, to which is added a tourist tax of 20 DA/D per person.
    ELECTRICITY
    The electric devices used in Algeria function on 220/230 volts, with plugsof European type. The American and Canadian devices only function with an adapter that in general, is not available in hotels.
    GRATUITY
    In hotels and restaurants as well as for taxis and buses it is use to let a gratuity equivalent to 5% before taxes. Chasers and carriers of airports or hotels usually receive a half Euro by suitcase
